Emma and Adam got married in April 2015 at Hatherley Manor Hotel and Spa in Gloucestershire.

How did you Meet?

We met 8 years before we got married on a night out. We were both on different Christmas parties and hit it off straight away, we had a few date nights and the rest is history as they say. All these years later and soon to be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.

How long did it take you to plan the wedding?

We got engaged in Tunisia in 2013 and pretty much started to plan the wedding straight away. I loved all the planning and choosing and creating and crafting. Making as much as I could myself, I loved every minute of it all and really missed it when we were married.

Which suppliers did you use?

I visited a few bridal stores and Dream Days in Dudley was my favorite, the girls were lovely and always made me feel welcome and special. I knew the dress I chose was the one. I loved visiting the store and got excited every time I tried on my dress, which I had made in White rather than ivory and also had a matching veil that the Dream Day ladies customised with gems to match my dress. I knew that everything was unique to me.

My beautiful flowers were by Jo at Simply Flowers in in Tewksbury. I chose a hand tied posy with white and pink roses set with sparkling gems in the centre of each flower, and finished with green foliage.

My lovely hair and makeup was styled by Louise from Louise Marie Hair and Make up. I had a few trials before the day and I was more than happy the Louise would do a fantastic job when the day came.

What made you choose your venue?

We had visited a few different venues but we knew that Hatherley Manor in Gloucester was just right for us. The building is old but the decor is modern, the rooms were all a good size and there was accomodation for all of our guests to stay over. The day itself was glorious and the beautiful April weather meant we could get married outside in the stunning walled garden. It was amazing.

We had our wedding breakfast in the Moat Suite which was decorated to perfection with my hand crafted decorations and with a little help from the hotel with chair covers and balloons the room looked perfect. On the evening we had the french doors open so that guests could wander in and out and enjoy our evening BBQ.

What's your advice to other brides and grooms?

Don't stress and worry about all the little things, like I did, on the day everything comes together perfectly, and don't forget to enjoy every moment. It flies by.

Finally we would like to thank all our Family and friends for sharing in our special day. Thank you to everyone who made this happen for us and thank you to the weather in April for being so kind. We enjoyed our wedding day so much that 12 months later we returned to Hatherley Manor to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary which helped us remember what an absolutely amazing day we had.

Thank you from Emma and Adam 💖
