How did you meet?

We actually met through tinder..... Martin was my first match! We chose to meet in person on Armed Forces Day in Centenary Square in Birmingham as he was on parade that day. We just clicked and who doesn't love a man in uniform anyway?

How long did it take you to plan the wedding?

We planned the wedding quite quickly really, all in all it took 12 months. My Dad was not well at the time and as it was important that he was there on the day we decided not to waste any time. Luckily he did get better in time and was able to celebrate with us and said he had the best time ever in Italy and would not have missed it for the world.

Which Suppliers did you use?

We booked the wedding through Thomas Cook, the lovely Emma helped with everything that we needed, she really knew what she was talking about. Our wedding planner was Manuela who looked after us as we arrived and did a brilliant job. Not forgetting Dream Days, Dudley where I chose my dream dress from the Sincerity Bridal Collection, the gown was made in cappuccino satin with ivory organza overlay a beaded lace appliques, perfect for our Italian wedding.

What advice would you give to future brides?

Dont stress! Enjoy the planning, this is as much a part of the whole journey as the day itself. Savour every single moment, you will only get to do this once and the day flies by so quickly its not worth letting anything upset you. Just enjoy it.

What was the highlight of the day?

Definitely sitting in the Olive Garden at our wedding reception with all our family eating delicious food, drinking beautiful italian wine and sharing so much love and laughter.
