Deja vu! We resized Carols ORIGINAL wedding dress 20 years later for her and Pete to have the anniversary of dreams...
Wow! This was an experience and a half! Dream Days had the honour of re-sizing Carol's original wedding dress that she had from us back in 2004, for the lovely couples 20th anniversary. We wanted to go the extra mile. Carol and Pete have been the most loyal, kind, and lovely customers to Dream Days over the years, having outfits for all occasions from us - so we wanted to show how grateful we are to have them as a part of our Dream Days family by allowing them to re-create the photos of their big day right here! We had a great celebration taking photos, eating Pete's 'a little too Irish' cakes, and playing some classic games to give them the most emotional, happy, and heartfelt memories to take away from the experience. Back in my dress 14th Feb 24. Walking into the room and seeing what Tracey and the girls had done was beautiful. Putting my dress on and veil and everything all together again after 20 years was a feeling I can't explain. So many emotions and memories of the first time I ever tried my dress on in that very room and met Tracey. To walking down the aisle to marry my soulmate, my amazing hubby Pete. I never thought I would wear my dress again! But Tracey made it possible. She truly is a fairy God mother. Then seeing Pete's face when I walked out to him and he saw me in my dress. I cried it was just perfect, the music and everything. Tracey, Kirsty and Vicki we were all in tears. They took some amazing photos for us, and we shared some very special moments and memories. We felt like we had just got married all over again for the first time. It was so special playing Mr and Mrs, eating cake, YMCA, it was one wedding anniversary we will never ever forget. To The Dream Team... What can I say? Wow! I think my face says it all. I couldn't speak, which is unusual for me! When I first said 'Tracey I would marry my Carol all over again if she could be in her original wedding dress', and Tracey said 'your wish can be granted', I never thought for one minute it would happen. But she did it! When Carol walked out, nothing can put into words how beautiful and amazing she stilled looked, like the day I first married her 20 years ago, 14th February 2004. If not MORE wow, she looked so beautiful. I couldn't help but cry. But there were a lot of tears, come on girls, admit it, you were all crying too! The best part for me, apart from seeing Carol, was sharing it with the the Dream Days team. The laughter, the amazing photos, sharing some stories about our lives together, and getting to know the girls a bit more. Thank you Tracey, Kirsty and Vicki for helping make our wedding anniversary one we will never forget - Love Pete x
