When Courtney married Liam - from sunshine to storms but still the perfect day!
Courtney has been a part of our Dream Days family since July 2022 and we have enjoyed every appointment with her! From picking the dream dress that was just so Courtney - to meeting some of her lovely family (especially Jaxson's cuddles!) - we finally sent her away to become Mrs Hewlett at her last collection appointment on the 9th of June.
How fabulous is that bride-to-be top by the way? She become Mrs. Hewlett on the 10th of June 2023 at the Thomas Robinson building and later celebrated at The Crown Iverly. Although the weather had some major changes, Courtney took full advantage of this and had the most amazing day with pictures to show for it! We could not wait to see and hear how her big day went - and Courtney did not disappoint! Here are some of her own words about the day...
"I started getting ready at my parents with our youngest son and Liam getting ready at his parents with our eldest."
"Our florist met me with my beautiful bouquet with white rose and blue hydrangea. Our dogs had matching collars to my flowers."
"We were taken to the Thomas Robison building to get married at 1pm in GT white mustangs, mine was convertible which was suiting with the scorching hot heat at highs of 28 degrees."
"I walked down the Isle to Jason Mars 'I'm yours'. Me and Liam were both so nervous our lips were shuddering. I thought Liam would mess up the vows but no - IT WAS ME! The officiant had to repeat her self 3 times. We signed our marriage certificate with one of our favourite songs which people questioned... Escape (the pina colada song)"
"It all went by so quickly even though we tried to take in every moment. We headed to our reception which was a Tipi, it had no air con so we all felt very hot!"
"We had eucalyptus from our florist running along our wooden tables, a pallet with pictures over the 10 years we had been together, and our guest book was a bench for people to sign, which is now sitting in our garden. Liam doesn't talk much but his speech was amazing and moved everyone with a few tears"
"After a pure incredible 3 course meal, we went off for our intimate photoshoot which at this time the thunder storm began but we didn't want to stop just because of a little rain. We were walking down a quiet country lane, but as we began to shoot, it became very busy with cars. I looked to a fence that said 'keep out no trespassing' I said 'no one will shoot anyone in white let's just go in that field!'"
"My amazing photographers and Liam all followed. We have a breath taking photo from the preview that couldn't have captured it more beautifully."
"Luckily the rain stopped by the time we got back to the Tipi and the DJ set up. We then had our first dance to 'promise to love hereby Blane, we couldn't of picked a better song and then to my father's dance to 'I loved her first'. We then cut our 4 tier cake which white and navy to match our colour theme. We requested and got 'your my best friend' to play as we cut the cake."
"Everyone danced the night away till around 11pm we finished the night with another one of our favourite songs which we sing quite a lot to our boys when they cry which even the DJ questioned wasn't very wedding- meat loaf 2 our of 3. Our lovely friend booked us in to the hotel for the night while our boys stayed with family and friends. Our hotel room was decorated for us."
"Our whole day was just so relaxed and filled with love we wouldn't change it, wish we could relive it and do it all again. I've never felt so beautiful in my life I want to wear my dress all the time!"
We can't get over how good these photos are - and they're only a preview! They really do your day justice Courtney and we have loved having you share these with us. Thank you so much for choosing Dream Days!
